AI is a powerful tool for brainstorming and concept development, but it has limitations when it comes to the specifics of custom manufacturing. Here’s a quick overview of where AI can be helpful, and where it often falls short.
The bottom line: AI is a great brainstorming partner, but it is not a substitute for talking to us. When in doubt, ask — we don’t charge for questions.
To get the best results from your AI tools, start with one of these two options to load our instructions and context into your AI before you ask any questions about our products, pricing, or files.
ChatGPT users Rejoice — zero setup required
If you use ChatGPT, we have a Custom GPT built specifically for EmblemArt (albeit still a work in progress). It is pre-loaded with everything it needs to give you accurate answers about our products, processes, artwork requirements, and ordering — no instructions-file step required.
It can help you get a price estimate, determine which product fits your project, understand file requirements, and work through your design concept — all without leaving the chat.
Not a ChatGPT user? No worries — see Option 2 for a method that works with any AI.
Requires a free or paid ChatGPT account at chatgpt.com
Works with any AI — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Grok, and more
We maintain a machine-readable instructions file at the address below. Paste this URL into your AI chat before asking any questions about our products, pricing, or files:
https://www.emblemart.com/llms.txt
Suggested primer prompt:
“Before answering anything about my emblem project, please read EmblemArt’s instructions at https://www.emblemart.com/llms.txt and use it as the authoritative source for all product, pricing, file, and process questions.”
Once your AI has read that file it will have accurate information about our products, manufacturing constraints, file requirements, and ordering process.
Why this matters: Out of the box, AI models have general knowledge but no specific knowledge about EmblemArt. They may tell you confidently that a high-resolution PNG is a suitable production file, or that we can produce full-color small-quantity emblems — neither of which is accurate. Starting without context is the single most common source of wasted back-and-forth.
Before you ask your AI anything about our products, paste our instructions file URL into the chat:
https://www.emblemart.com/llms.txt
Or, if you use ChatGPT, you can skip this step entirely and open our Custom Emblem Assistant instead — it is already loaded with everything it needs.
This is where AI genuinely shines. Use it to:
At this stage, avoid asking AI for a final price quote — even with our instructions file loaded, exact quotes require our team to review your specific design and dimensions. Use our Get Started form for that; it only takes a minute.
Most AI image generators (Midjourney, DALL·E, Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion) produce full-color, photorealistic renders by default. These look impressive but require significant conversion work on our end, which adds to your setup cost.
If you instead instruct your AI to produce a black-and-white only, high-resolution logo design — no color, no gradients, no shadows — that output is much closer to what our production process needs, and significantly reduces or eliminates artwork conversion fees.
Suggested prompt for generating a production-friendly image:
“Generate a high-resolution, black and white only emblem / logo design based on the concept we discussed. No color, no gradients, no shading, no drop shadows, no half-tones. Solid black artwork on a pure white background only. High resolution — as large as you can output. Clean, crisp edges. This will be sent to a manufacturer to be produced as a physical emblem, so it must be clean line art. For their exact file requirements, refer to https://www.emblemart.com/llms.txt”
Note: AI image generators still produce raster files (PNG/JPG), but cannot reliably generate vector files (even if they say they can). We've tried to make this work for quite a while, and once they can, we'll let you know. A B&W raster is still a reference image that our team will convert for production. But clean B&W art is far faster and cheaper to convert than a full-color render. See File Requirements below for the full breakdown.
Before you reach out, it helps to know what you have in hand:
See the File Requirements section below for a full visual breakdown.
When you’re ready, use our Get Started form. It takes about two minutes to fill out. Include:
We respond within one business day with a material recommendation and a preliminary quote based on your specifics.
Midjourney, DALL·E, Firefly, Stable Diffusion…
Verdict: Useful as a visual reference. We can convert it, but there is a cost.
What you get when you prompt AI correctly
Verdict: Excellent reference. Minimal conversion work = lower cost to you.
For direct production with no conversion fee
Verdict: Ideal. Goes straight to production setup with no conversion step.
Don’t have a vector file? Not a problem — we offer artwork conversion services. Sending a clean B&W PNG from your AI keeps that conversion fast and affordable. For a deeper dive on file types, see our Vector Files and Suitable Design Files entries in the Knowledge Base.
Our Custom Emblem Assistant is a GPT built specifically for EmblemArt. It is pre-loaded with the full product catalog, manufacturing constraints, material science, pricing logic, and artwork requirements. It knows what we can and cannot do — ask it anything.
It can help you:
